*The following only applies to organizations using the Moneris payment gateway*
We’re improving our security around payment processing by ensuring all credit cards are processed using “tokenized” payments for the Moneris gateway. This basically allows your customers to input sensitive credit card data directly to highly secured payment processors without routing through our systems in any way.
How it Works
Customers will enter payment information through embedded widgets on the checkout page. These widgets are secured and reside wholly on Moneris. This helps ensure that no man-in-the-middle attack can view credit card information. Once the credit card is received, Moneris returns a token representing the credit card data they received back to ThunderTix, and this is used to process the payment.
What We Need From You
Please log into Moneris and navigate to Admin >> Hosted Tokenization. This page allows you to create a Profile ID to allow payments to be processed using tokenized payments. If no Profile IDs are listed under “Existing Profiles”, simply click the “Create Profile” button. Leave the "Secure Domain" field blank. A new Profile ID will appear in the Existing Profiles list. Copy the Profile ID, and copy it in your Account Settings (the cog icon in the upper right corner of your ThunderTix screen) under the Gateway menu.
It is extremely important for you to do this prior to March 1, 2022. As of that date, only tokenized payments will be allowed. Any accounts without the profile ID will cease to process payments.
