For those of you that are using our Starter or Professional plans, we now offer a barcode scanning alternative with our new "Check-in" feature from the Guest List. Login to ThunderTix on your phone, tablet or computer and navigate to your event's Guest List in its mobile friendly format. Click on the button, "Start Guest Check-in". (We've hidden this feature by default to prevent accidental "scans" which cannot be undone.) Each order's barcodes will be displayed in clickable format allowing you to check-in guests as they arrive. We'll alert you when a ticket has previouly been checked-in to help reduce fraudulent entry via duplicated tickets.
You requested the ability to create private ticket types, so that you could create special pricing for logged in users. When creating a new event or editing an existing one, you may update any associated tickets with a new "private" setting. These tickets will not appear to the general public, but your staff may select these for purchase when logged in.
On the checkout page for any new order, you have the option to not send the confirmation email and any attached tickets to your customers. To prevent an email, just check the box alongside the customer email address. Your customer's information will still be saved to our CRM and email addresses will be sent to Mailchimp as your settings dictate.
Facebook removed the ability to "Post Events to Facebook", so we considered other ways to help you better promote your events. We now offer pre-created tweets to Twitter and Eventful integration for increased event promotion and visibility.
Events by Eventful
Eventful is a popular way for customers to learn about events taking place in their area. Events posted there are used in a variety of services where consumers have the opportunity to buy tickets. In order to post your event, when you've completed creating your event, go to the Promote tab. ThunderTix will use your venue address with the events you create and send all the event data to Eventful. Once complete, ticket buyers will see your event listed in Eventful, including a link to Buy Tickets, when they search for things to do in their city. Pushing your event to Eventful is easy and will immediately increase the visibility for your events.
You may also tweet about the event to your Twitter account from the same Promote tab. To use this feature, you'll need your own Twitter account. If you have multiple Twitter accounts, make sure you are logged into the account you wish to use. If your event has not yet gone on sale, the tweet will include the date tickets will be going on sale. If your event is on sale, the tweet will be modified to say that "Tickets are now ON SALE!" Also, if you haven't already done so, enter your Twitter account in your Account Settings under the "Marketing" tab. Of course, you can modify our time-saving precreated tweet as desired.
No more downloading a rental agreement to fill out and send in! We've gone paperless!
From the Hardware tab, you may now buy ThunderTix compatible hardware such as USB credit card readers for the box office window or barcode scanners. Simply enter the quantity of each item that you would like to rent or purchase and provide your shipping address. We'll charge the card we have on file and get your products shipped!
On December 9, 2014, the following feature request was made:
We offer 50-100 limited VIP seats now for most of our events. If we could offer these limited tickets online, we would sell thousands of them online. Please please please add this feature.
It's been a long time coming, but it's finally here!! Thanks to everyone for your patience as we modified the programming around event capacities to make this frequest a reality.
Now, you can set a capacity on a specific ticket type as a part of the overall event capacity. As soon as the set number of allotted tickets of a certain type (VIP) are sold, it will be displayed as SOLD OUT to customers moving forward. At this time, capacities by ticket type are only available on general admission events and will be be applicable for packages.
Previously, if you wanted to collect a customer name for each ticket, the only option was to require your customers to enter their name before proceeding to the next step. Now, you may optionally invite customers to enter names, although they may skip this step and still successfully purchase tickets.
