ThunderTix makes scanning your patrons’ tickets simple and efficient! This ThunderTix video tutorial explains how to scan your guests’ tickets using a USB barcode ticket scanner.

ThunderTix offers several ways to scan patrons’ tickets from the Scan tab of your ThunderTix account. From the Scan page, you can use a USB barcode ticket scanner or you can manually enter the patrons’ barcode ID, order ID, or name. Barcode Scanning is an important time saving technique that makes your guest check in process more efficient. Additionally, real-time barcode scanning helps enhance your event security by protecting against ticket duplication and fraud. ThunderTix offers instant ticket verification as your scanners immediately communicate to your ThunderTix account in the cloud.

For your ease, ThunderTix offers USB connected barcode scanner rentals or purchases from the Hardware tab of your ThunderTix account. These barcode scanners can work with any device that is connected to the Internet and has a USB port or a mini-USB port with an adapter. Meaning, you can be completely mobile with a USB scanner connected to a small tablet.

You can also scan barcodes from your phone or tablet by downloading the ThunderTix App. This app is free and is available on the app store for iPhones or iPads. The app is linked with your ThunderTix account, allowing real-time scanning. If a patron’s tickets are damaged or they forget their tickets at home, you can still scan them in manually by their Barcode ID, name, or Order ID. ThunderTix also offers the option of the event guest list, which allows you to check patrons in as they arrive.
