Do you have a specific Google font you want to use on your website?
ThunderTix absolutely supports adding google fonts in your Web Design Tools! First, go to "Public Display Settings" in the top right corner of your screen. Click "Web Design Tools" in the drop down menu.
Once you are in Web Design tools, scroll to the bottom of the page where it says "Import Google Fonts". You will be able to click any of the google fonts listed so that you are able to use them on your site.
After you have clicked a google font to use, you still need to tell your site which font to use where. Go back to the Custom CSS section in Web Design Tools and add custom CSS with the google font you want to use. This will update your site accordingly. If you have any trouble with this or need any futher explanation of how to do this, please reach out via support request!
NOTE:
Specific popular fonts such as Helvetica and Hoefler are not google fonts.- Helvetica is a licensed system font, not part of Google Fonts.
- On Macs, Helvetica will render correctly because it comes pre-installed.
- On Windows, Helvetica isn’t included by default, so most users will actually see Arial (the fallback) even if you specify Helvetica in your CSS.
- This means you can include Helvetica in your CSS stack, but you can’t guarantee that every visitor will see it due to the licensing behind the font.
- On Macs, Helvetica will render correctly because it comes pre-installed.
- Hoefler (or Hoefler Text) is also not available through Google Fonts. It’s included on Macs and iOS devices but not on Windows or Android.
If your goal is to have a consistent look for all patrons regardless of device, we recommend using Google Fonts options like Roboto or Open Sans as substitutes for Helvetica, and Merriweather or Lora as substitutes for Hoefler. These can be imported directly in the "Import Google Fonts" section, as you can see above.
We also have hundreds of really cool fonts within our web design tools that you can select from!
We want all of our client's to have the best websites- so please reach out to us via support request if you have any questions! - Helvetica is a licensed system font, not part of Google Fonts.
