Standalone volunteer opportunities are helpful for recurring or one-time tasks that are not tied to a specific event, such as organizing a prop closet, helping with office work, or completing administrative tasks.


Start by creating the volunteer role:


1.  Go to Volunteer Manager → Roles. 
2.  Click New Role. 
3.  Enter the role name, description, requirements, and an optional label color. 
4.  Click Save. 
Once the role is ready:


1.  Go to Volunteer Manager → Standalone Opportunities. 
2.  Click Create Opportunity. 
3.  Select the volunteer role. 
4.  Enter the number of volunteers needed and the opportunity title. 
5.  Choose whether the opportunity occurs one time, daily, weekly, or monthly. 
6.  Set the dates and start and end times. 
7.  Click Create Opportunity. 
After creating the opportunity, you can assign volunteers just as you would for an opportunity connected to an event or performance.
