Video Tutorial: How to Use Patron Lifecycle Tracking and RFM Segmentation in ThunderTix - Tue - Jul 21, 2026 - 11:50am

  • ThunderTix automatically organizes patrons into meaningful groups based on their relationship with your organization and their purchasing behavior. These segments can help you identify loyal customers, reconnect with patrons who may be drifting away, and create more targeted marketing campaigns.

Patron Lifecycle shows where someone is in their journey with your organization, such as:

    •  Prospect
    •  First-timer
    •  Active
    •  Lapsing or lapsed
    •  Dormant
    •  Won back
RFM Segmentation measures patron engagement using:

    • Recency: How recently they purchased
    • Frequency: How often they purchase
    • Monetary value: How much they have spent
    To use these filters:

    1.  Open your patron database and go to CRM & Mass Mail
    2.  Select the Lifecycle & RFM tab.
    3.  Choose a lifecycle stage, an RFM segment, or a combination of both.
    4.  Run the search to view patrons who match your criteria.
    5.  Open a patron record to view their lifecycle stage, RFM segment, score, and segment history.
You can also hover over a segment tag to see why ThunderTix placed the patron in that group.

Combining these filters can help you find your highest-value patrons, identify loyal customers who may be lapsing, promote memberships or subscriptions to repeat buyers, and build campaigns for first-time or returning customers.
