There are 2 options when testing barcode scanners with ThunderTix prior to the event.

Create a test event where the Access is set to Private. Process a few test orders, print tickets from the orders, and follow the scanning instructions to test the scanners.
Use the real event(s). Process a test order, print tickets from the order, and follow the scanning instructions to test the scanners.
