If you are logged into ThunderTix as a venue user, you can process ticket orders on behalf of customers (with the appropriate permissions). At the final stage of the checkout process, there is an option for 'Cash' and 'Check' instead of a Credit Card. These payment methods are described below. Additionally, our Processing Orders at the Box Office tutorial video provides step by step instructions.
To process an order or payment with Cash or Check, please do the following:
Click Manage for the event the customer wishes to buy tickets from
Find the date for which you want to sell tickets and click Sell
You are now in the process of ordering tickets as an administrator. Continue the process until you get to the final Checkout page
You should see the option for both Cash, Check/Voucher, and Credit Card. If you choose Cash, the credit card fields will disappear and no longer be required.
If you are accepting a check, choose Check. You can enter the check number if desired like: Check # 789
Notice that NO fields on this page are required once you've chosen Cash, Check, or Voucher. But, to build your Customer database, you should always try to add as much information about the customer as possible. If you do enter the customer's email address, they will also receive an email receipt of their purchase and an electronic ticket if it is enabled for that event.
All customer data entered at checkout will automatically appear on that customer's record in the Customers, including their billing information. You'll utilize your Customers tab for marketing to repeat customers and once a customer is in the database, you will be able to use the auto-fill feature to enter their billing address at checkout by searching their last name and email.
