Two-Factor Authentication: “Remember This Device for 30 Days”We have released an update to improve the two-factor authentication (2FA) login experience by reducing how often users are prompted for verification codes on trusted devices.
What’s new
Remember this device for 30 daysWhen logging into ThunderTix, users can now select a “Remember me for 30 Days” option. When enabled, the system will recognize the device and browser for 30 days, allowing users to skip entering a verification code each time they log in.
How it works- At login, enter your username and password as usual
- Complete your two-factor authentication once
- Check the box labeled “Remember me for 30 Days”
- On future logins from the same device and browser, you will not be prompted for a verification code for 30 days
When you will still be prompted for a codeYou may still be asked to complete 2FA if:- You log in from a new device or browser
- You clear cookies or browser data
- The 30-day trust period has expired
Why this mattersThis update helps:- Reduce repeated verification prompts on trusted devices
- Speed up the login process for frequent users
- Maintain security while improving convenience
Things to keep in mind- This setting is device and browser specific
- For security reasons, shared or public devices should not use the “Remember me” option
- Two-factor authentication is still required for untrusted or new login sessions
