How do we limit the number of tickets that can be sold of a specific type? - Sat - Nov 27, 2010 - 3:47pm

You are able to set a capacity per ticket type if desired, however, it is not necessary to set a capacity for each ticket type since a capacity exists on each individual event date. Unless you have a limited number of a certain ticket type, like a VIP ticket, then you should not be entering any capacities per ticket type.
You can set a capacity for some ticket types and not others. Perhaps you would like to sell any number of adult, senior, student tickets but would like to only sell 10 tickets that include a backstage pass. Then, you could set the capacity for the backstage pass ticket type to 10 and leave the other capacities empty. When creating a new event:- From the Event Basics tab
- After entering in necessary details, enter a ticket type capacity ONLY on the ticket types have have strict limits and availability
- To add a new ticket type, click + Add Another Ticket
When editing an existing event:- Head to the: Event Manager
- Click Manage
- Click Manage Tickets and Prices for any performance
- Click on the pencil icon next to the ticket
- Change the capacity under the capacity column and click the disk icon to save
