What is the event Pre-sale and Post-sale Announcement? - Sat - Nov 27, 2010 - 3:58pm

    The pre-sale announcement is used to publicize an upcoming event without allowing the public to buy tickets online. Using the Presale Announcement will display both the event image and announcement to your customers on your online event listing. The pre-sale announcement date & time is when the event will automatically be displayed online with all other events, excluding the buy button. 

    The pre-sale announcement will remain visible until the activation date -- when the event changes to display the description instead of the announcement. When the activation date is reached, the 'Buy Tickets' button will automatically appear. If you want to include the event description as part of your announcement, copy/paste your full event description into the pre-sale announcement field. 

    To add a pre-sale announcement to an event, please follow the below steps: 

    1. Head to your Event Manager >> Manage your event 
    2. Click the Public Display Tab >> Removing the Buy Button 
    3. Under the Pre-sale Announcement Date, select a date you want the announcement to begin to display 
    4. Enter a corresponding announcement (typically the event description + the date the event will be on sale)

    The post-sale announcement is used to inform customers that tickets are only available at the door the day of the event or to show the event description when the event is sold out (if it’s a single event). This can be used to inform customers of other events or prompt them to check back in case tickets become available in the future.

    The post-sale announcement can be set to display at a specific date and time and must be enabled to show before the event expiration date. Once the event expiration date is reached, the event will be taken completely offline and moved to your Expired Event listing. 

    To add a post-sale announcement to an event, please follow the below steps: 

    Head to your Event Manager >> Manage your event 
    1. Click the Public Display Tab >> Removing the Buy Button 
    2. Under the Post-sale Announcement Date, select a date you want the announcement to begin to display 
    3. Enter a corresponding announcement (typically the event description + the date the event will be on sale)
