How can I split a payment between cash and credit card? - Tue - Mar 15, 2016 - 1:46pm

  • Yes! You can now take split payments for any order. When checking out, first choose the appropriate payment method for the first payment and then click the option to "Make a partial payment". In the box that appears below, enter the amount of the first payment. Once all of the customer's information has been entered onto the order, click Checkout for the first payment. On the "thank you" screen, you'll see a new option to make another payment to satisfy the balance due as seen below.
    Clicking "Add Another Payment" will lead you back to the checkout page to make another payment with an alternate payment method. You'll see that the amount of the order has been reduced by the first payment made.
    At this time, you'll choose the desired tab for the next payment method. If you're going to be paying the full balance, there's no need to choose Make a partial payment again. However, if you need to pay only a portion of what's due, you have the option to accept yet another partial payment if needed. When viewing an order that had a partial payment applied, you'll see the "payment required" stamp reminding you that a balance is due as seen below.
    Easily see all payments and their payment method for any order. From the guest list, go to the  "Orders with Balances" tab to quickly review orders awaiting payments. From the order, you'll also have the option to "Collect Balance Due" if the remainder won't be paid until a later date.  Venue users without full administrative access will need the permission 'Can Process Partial Payments' enabled in order to process orders with a partial payment. This can be done from the Users tab under Account.
    NOTE: Tickets and barcodes will not be generated until the order is marked paid and no balance remains.
