Gift Cards can be purchased for any denomination and the value is chosen by the person purchasing it.

Many organizations include events by name and price in the description of their Gift Card. You might say, "Consider purchasing based on the ticket value of your preferred event. A ticket to the X Event is $90." This lets customers know they can pay $180 for 2 tickets if the goal is to gift the recipient a specific event so that there is no remaining balance after it's applied.

If someone purchases a $100 gift card when tickets are always $90, that will leave a $10 balance that never expires. They can apply the balance to any event in the future as partial credit to a second order. Or, if they were to purchase 2 tickets with the $100 gift card, then $10 would be applied to the second ticket.
