At times, you may need to void or cancel a gift card.

Gift cards paid by credit card
 
Gift certificates can be refunded back to the credit card if they were paid for using a credit card. 


1. First, head over to Gift Certificates.
2. Search for the order using the email address, last name, order ID, or the gift certificate code
3. Click the Order ID. 
4. Click Initiate Refund. 
5. By clicking "Refund All", the customer will receive a refund for the value paid and gift certificate code will automatically be voided and the balance changed to $0. 


Gift cards from refunds or comps

If the gift card order was comped or if it was generated as a refund to a gift card from another order, all order change actions will be disabled. However, you can still cancel the gift card or reduce the remaining balance. 


1. First, head over to Gift Certificates.
2. Search for the order using the email address, last name, order ID, or the gift certificate code
3. Click the balance under the Balance column, and change the balance to $0. Enter a reason for the balance change for future reference.
4. Change the gift certificate to Inactive by clicking "Yes" under the Active column.
