First, make sure that the gift certificate in question has more than a $0 balance.  If you want to convert the entire remainder of a gift certificate balance to a donation by that patron, follow the steps below.




1. Head to Revenue Builders > Gift Certificates
2. Click on the desired Order ID.
3. Under Order Change Actions, click Convert to Donation. (see 1st screenshot below)
4. Click "Donate All" near the top of the page
5. Before processing the donation, you have the option to apply the donation to a specific fundraising campaign (when multiple fundraising campaigns exist). Choose the desired campaign if applicable. (see the second screenshot below)
6. Click "Convert to Donation"









Upon completion of the above process:

• The gift certificate balance will be changed to $0
• The recipient of the gift certificate will be credited for donating the remaining value of the gift certificate back to the venue
• The donation will be applied to the selected fundraising campaign.
