After a refund is processed, patrons may reach out to inquire about when they can see their refund back in their account. Each payment gateway is a little different. For STRIPE users: it will take approximately 5-10 business days for a patron to receive a refund.
https://stripe.com/docs/refundsFor SQUARE users: it can take a total of 4-14 business days for a patron to receive their refund. It can take up to 2–7 business days to process a refund with Square. Once the refund is processed and sent to your customer’s card issuing bank, it can take another 2–7 business days (depending on the bank’s processing speeds) for the refund to post to your customer’s account.
https://squareup.com/help/us/en/article/5060-refund-overviewFor BrainTree Users: BrainTree transactions can only be refunded within 180 days of receiving payment. A refunded transaction goes through the typical settlement process. As soon as the refund settles, the funds are sent back to the customer’s bank account. The customer's bank may take a couple of days to deposit these funds, so it is normal for your customer to experience a small delay.
