Can we hold back private ticket types from the remaining tickets display on an event? - Fri - Mar 22, 2024 - 4:35pm

  • Yes, you can hold back private ticket types from the public.

Say that you have a 10 person capacity and want to hold 2 tickets back in case of walk ups, last minute bookings, etc. There are a few moving parts to ensuring that your private ticket types are not available to the general public.

The first thing you will want to do is create your ticket type and label it 'Private'. You will then want to enter the capacity for your private ticket type.

*It is important to note that the ticket capacities must match the event capacity. Make sure you enter in the capacity for the Public ticket type as well.

By setting your ticket type to private, it will not display with the tickets available.  Your event will display as sold out to the general public. If you have the waitlist enabled, customers will have the option to join the waitlist. If you do not have the waiting list enabled, your event will still display as sold out.
