How do I create a semi-private event? (change from public to private/semi-private) - Mon - Aug 6, 2012 - 12:59pm

  • If you would like to offer customers a link to buy tickets to an event, but you don't want to display the event to the general public, you can create a semi-private event. The semi-private event is displayed to your buyers using either an iframe within your own website or as a link to the event in your ThunderTix listing.

     Creating a new semi-private event:

    1. Head to: Event Manager
    2. Click Create Event
    3. Once you have entered the required event information, click on the "Advanced Date Display Options" tab
    4. Select Semi-Private (or private) under the heading, PUBLIC ACCESS TO YOUR EVENT
    5. Complete your event creation details and save.

After saving, you will be redirected to the full list of performances created. You can use the embed code on this page to link to or embed as an iframe any date(s) listed. If you would prefer your customers see the full description, uploaded image, or social links, use the Embed code from your the event's listing in the Event Manager.

    Editing an existing event:

    1. Head to the Event Manager
    2. Click on the name of your event
    3. Click Public Display
    4. From the Event Information tab on the left, select Semi-Private under PUBLIC ACCESS TYPE

Event settings can be changed to public, private, or semi-private at any time. To view these options in video form, please see the Advanced Date Display Options portion of our Creating Your Event tutorial video.
