What factors cause customers to abandon the ticket purchase process? - Tue - Sep 4, 2012 - 1:28pm

At times, your customers may begin the order process, go to the checkout page, but ultimately abandon it. Factors that negatively effect abandonment rate are:
- High shipping or ticket fees
- Asking for, or requiring, a name per ticket
- Requiring the customer to complete additional questions during the checkout, like a survey or requiring the Comments field
- Requiring acknowledgement from customers to approve terms and conditions
- Adding a ReCaptcha for security
- High demand events for which robots attempt but ultimately fail to purchase tickets
In most cases, the customer simply may not be ready to order yet and plan on returning to purchase their tickets at a later date. See the discussion below to subscribed to alerts for abandoned orders.
