Managing Gift Cards: Viewing Balances, Tracking Redemptions, and Allowing Customers to Resend Gift Cards - Wed - Dec 17, 2025 - 3:26pm

  • When a customer visits your ThunderTix site and selects “Check your gift card balance” they can:

    1. View remaining balances for all of their gift cards.

      • Gift cards are displayed in descending order by current balance, making it easy to see the largest balances first.

      • Each gift card also shows the issue date and original balance for reference.

    2. $0 Balance Gift Cards

      • Gift cards with a $0 balance and no redemptions are not displayed to avoid confusion.

      • Gift cards with a $0 balance but at least one redemption will still appear in the list so the customer can view their transaction history.

    3. Customer Self-Resend

      • Customers can resend any gift card email to themselves by clicking the 'Resend Email' icon shown in the screenshow above. 

    • Clicking the link resends the original gift card email, the same as the “Click to resend email confirmation” option in Orders#show.
    • Each resend is logged under Delivery Statistics on the original order, allowing staff to track email activity.

    Customers no longer need to contact your staff about viewing their gift card details or resending their gift certificate!
