How do I create a ticket that is good (scan-able) for any day of a multi-day event, not just 1 day? - Wed - Oct 3, 2012 - 4:33pm

You can create an event that spans many days but has just a single event listing. Here's how:

    1. In the field that reads 'When does your event happen?' Enter the FINAL day of your multi-day event. Leave the Repeats field at the default, which is None
    2. In the Advanced Date Display Options tab, enable the option titled 'Do not display event time'
    3. Then, enable the next option titled, 'Would you like to replace the date fields with your own text?'
    4. In the Replacement Text box, enter the date range in which your event occurs. For example, 'November 4-13, 2022'
    5. Click Finish when you've entered all other details for the event.

If editing an existing event, do the following:

    1. Click Manage for your Event.
    2. In the Date column, you should only have a single event. Make sure your date is the FINAL day of your multi-day event.
    3. Then click the Public Display tab > Additional Display Options.
    4. Under MODIFYING THE DATE AND TIME DISPLAY, check both boxes to hide the date and time.
    5. In the field marked, "Replacement text for Default Date", enter any appropriate text. This will often be the date range of your event or festival (Ex: November 9-13, 2022)

Now, when a customer buys a ticket, they are purchasing just one entrance and will receive an email receipt that includes the number of tickets they bought for the event. Each day that the event takes place, your staff will scan tickets by going to the Scan menu and choosing the 'Event Name' NOT all events taking place that day. Remember, we set the event date to the LAST day of your festival, so choosing any day other than the last day will NOT work. When your staff scans a ticket, it will be marked in the system as 'Scanned' and will be unable to be scanned a second time. So, by default, tickets are valid for one day only -- any day of the entire event. This is perfect for a single-day ticket, or one-day pass.

If you also offer a multi-day pass to the event, you have several options to handle entry to your event. The most popular is to first scan the multi-day ticket barcode and then provide the customer something to allow them repeat entry on the other days of the event. The most common options are a wristband or a festival badge. With this concept, the customer checks in when they arrive, their ticket is scanned and from that point forward, they won't need their ticket again since they'll use the wristband or badge.

If you prefer that your customers have their original ticket barcode scanned for EACH day of the event, we have an option for that, too. See the discussion below for resetting multi-day pass barcodes each day.

How can I reset barcodes so they can be used multiple times over multiple days?
