How can I sort my events if they all happen at the same date and time? - Wed - Mar 27, 2013 - 12:32pm

Let's say you have 2 or more events that are happening at the same date and time, and they are not sorting on the buyer's page in the way you prefer them to sort. You can take the following steps to modify your event's date and time so that each event has a different date and time. The system will sort the events chronologically to your buyers, so you'll want to set each event with the same day, but set the time from earliest in the day to later in the day for the order you want the events to appear. The system will still display the real date and time of the event to your buyers. They won't be able to see the time modifications you've made to the event anywhere.
- Head to: Events > Event Manager
- Click Manage
- Click Public Display
- From the left menu, click Additional Display Options
- Check both options that say Hide the Event Time and Hide the Event Date
- In the field labeled "Replacement Text for Default Date", fill in the date and time that you would like to be displayed for this event/the actual time
Now all dates within the event should appear with the date you've entered in the Replacement Text field. Next, we need to edit each of the dates and times for storage in the database.- Head to: Events > Event Manager
- Click Manage
- From the Dates & Times within the event, click the time for the event you wish to appear second.
- Change the time only to a time slightly later than the actual event, like 7:31 PM for a 7:30 show
- Click the blue check mark.
- Repeat the above 3 steps for each of the events making each event's time slightly later than the next one.
In the end, all dates should appear in the order of the times you set, but the customer will still only see the actual date of the event that you are displaying.
