How do I see a patron’s donation history or giving summary? - Fri - Oct 9, 2026 - 9:29am
Each patron record has a Giving summary that shows that donor’s full history at a glance, including what they’ve given so far this year. You can also export every donation from that patron with one click!
To find it:
- Go to Patron Database and search for the patron by name or email.
- Click the patron’s name to open their record.
- Scroll to the Giving summary section.
What you’ll see:
- Donor classification: The classification this patron falls into, based on the levels you’ve set under Giving > Donor Classifications.
- First, Last and Largest donation: The amount and date of each. Click any of these to open that order.
- Period totals: The total given, with the number of donations in parentheses. For example, $15.00 (3) means three donations adding up to $15.
- Lifetime: Everything this patron has given.
- Past 12 months: A rolling 12 months back from today.
- Current year: Year-to-date giving (2026 in the example above).
- Prior years: One row for each calendar year.
Export all donations for a donor
Click Export CSV in the top right of the Giving summary to download every donation this patron has made. This is handy for year-end giving statements or answering a donor’s question about their history.
Need totals for many donors at once? Use the donation filters in the Patron Database search, then click Export Results and choose Aggregated Results for one line per donor with their total.
