Can I request my customers to cover credit card processing fees when making a donation? - Thu - Nov 17, 2022 - 4:02pm

  • With fundraising campaign donations, you can now request your patrons to cover the credit card processing fees to earn more support from their donation! 

    To enable the request from your patrons to cover credit card processing fees with a new fundraising campaign, please follow the steps below:

    1. Head to Giving >> Fundraising Campaigns 
    2. Click Create Campaign 
    3. Under Processing Fee Percentage, enter a percentage to be added to the total donation amount for patrons

    To enable the request from your patrons to cover credit card processing fees with an existing fundraising campaign, please follow the steps below: 

    1. Head to Giving >> Fundraising Campaigns 
    2. Locate your campaign and click Edit 
    3. Under PROCESSING FEE PERCENTAGE, enter a percentage to be added to the total donation amount for patrons 


    When patrons contribute to your fundraising campaign, either through an event or through the fundraising campaign alone, they will be invited to cover your credit card processing fees. If customers opt to cover the fees, a new line item on their order, Donation Processing Fee, will appear.
