What does the pop up 'Would you like to merge customer matches' at checkout mean? - Wed - Apr 24, 2024 - 10:41am
-
When you go to process an order and the customer has purchased tickets before, this pop up will appear. This just means that we have found one or more customer records with the exact same first and last name.

If they are the same person, you can click merge to merge the two together in a single customer record. Searches for the associated emails on either the checkout page (as a logged-in user) or via the Patron Database tab will show the newly merged customer record. All orders, donations, products, notes, etc. will be combined into a single record when merged.
If they are not the same person, you can simply click the 'Dismiss All' option to close out the pop up and the pop up will no longer appear.
If you clicked close an accident, no worries! Here is a discussion on how to merge duplicate customers from the Patron Database tab: Merge Multiple Customers at Once
