How do I delete a performance date or delete an event? - Mon - May 16, 2016 - 7:39am

  • If a ticket was ever sold on a performance or an event, it cannot be deleted.

Deleting an event will perform a cascading delete meaning we delete all associated data: tickets, fees, images, dates and times, etc. Performances with tickets sold cannot be deleted, so you may continue to access sales reports and guest information. This includes dates that had tickets sold which were all either voided or refunded.

All events must have at least one performance date and time, therefore, even if only one date remains, we prevent the ability to delete it.  If you wish to delete the remaining performance date, then it's best to delete the event.

From the Event Manager, click the trash can to delete an event. If you cannot delete it, a message will appear that says "Event cannot be deleted".  You'll have two options to remove the event from your upcoming events listing so you no longer have to see it:

    • Hide from Public View - We will mark this event as "Private" in the Access tab. You may change this back to public at any time.
    • Hide from Public and Administrators - This event will be "expired" by setting it to a date in the past and removed from view. To reverse this action, perform an event search and change the expiration date in the Public Display. Here are steps to "expire" your event: click on Select >> Manage >> Public Display >> Event Information >> IMPORTANT SALE DATES >> Tickets removed from sale on >> enter a date in the past >> make sure to click "enter" or out of the text field so you see the green "Saved!" message.

Select the option you prefer and click Save.
