How does a "Build Your Own" Package work? - Fri - Nov 8, 2019 - 11:05am

What is a Build Your Own Package?

The Build Your Own bundles events together at a discounted rate by utilizing the tickets and prices from each of the included events with an applied percentage or dollar off discount. Build Your Own packages can even combine events with different seating configurations. Once built, patrons will choose their preferred events from the package list and their preferred performances in a single transaction. The package will be visible on your public website under the "Packages" button.

Even if your event tickets have capacities set per ticket, the package will still reduce inventory appropriately per event and per ticket type. Revenue and tickets from packages sold will appear in each individual event and performance report rather than a separate "Package Report".

Creating a Build Your Own Package

    1. From the Event tab, click Package Manager
    2. Click Create Package
    3. The new package will load - enter your package name, image, and description
    4. Under Selection Method, select Pick Any
    5. Enter a minimum number of events the customer much select when buying the package in the Pick at least box
    6. Select your events under the Included Events tab. You must select a minimum number of events that you entered in the Pick at least area.  If your full season is 8 events and you want patrons to be able to pick any 5, select all 8 events
    7. Select Subscription under Ticket Delivery
    8. Price the package as a bundled discount under the Pricing tab
    9. Optionally enter values in the Additional Options field, such as an Expiration date
    10. Complete the Shipping Options tab
NOTE: The shipping options and fees are completely optional. If you don't create a shipping option, the patron won't see shipping listed during checkout. Like events, you can create one or more shipping options to notify patrons of how they'll receive their tickets. At the completion of the package order, patrons will immediately receive all their tickets electronically for all selected events. Some organizations choose to create a single shipping option of "Electronic Email Delivery" for $0 with the eTicket enabled just to offer clarity to patrons to manage their expectations. If you offer multiple options like Will Call and Regular Mail in addition to email delivery, create those choices and corresponding prices here.
