How can I create events that are in multiple time zones? - Fri - May 26, 2023 - 5:37am
-
Right now, accounts have a single time zone. Please select the time zone of the business origin for the account.
How time zones are displayed
If you have events that span multiple cities across multiple time zones, the best option is to simply hide the time (and therefore the time zone). If an event is being held in Chicago, those that purchase tickets for an event taking place at 7pm will know that it's at 7pm Central time.
Conversely, if someone is purchasing an event in California at 2pm, they will understand that the event is taking place at 2pm local time, or Pacific time.
The standard event display that includes the time zone will appear like the following times:
MAY 26, 2024 - 7:00PM CDT
MAY 26, 2024 - 2:00PM PDT
Removing (hiding) the time zone
Here's a guide on how to set up all events so that the time zone is not displayed for any of your events.- Navigate to your Event Manager.
- Click Select then Manage next to the event in question.
- While you are in the event, click "Public Display"
- From the left menu, click Additional Display Options.
- Under MODIFYING THE DATE AND TIME DISPLAY, check both the "Hide the event time" and "Hide the event date".
- Use the field below these boxes to enter replacement text. This would be something like "May 26, 2024 - 7:00PM" or if you also want to include the day of the week, you might change it to something like this: "Sun, May 26, 2024 - 7:00 PM"

Customers will instead see the times as the text you entered in the replacement text field rather than the standard event display.
NOTE: the above instructions work perfectly for events that have a single performance. If an event has multiple performances, it's best to create them as separate events in order to take advantage of the above instructions.
