Changes to the checkout process for Authorize.net payment gateway - Wed - Jan 15, 2025 - 12:20pm

  • Changes to the "Credit Card" tab

    The checkout process for Authorize.net is changing as of January 19th.  As of that time, when you or anyone who works at the box office starts a new order and get to the checkout page, you will no longer see the credit card fields in the Credit Card tab.

    Admin portal


    Here's what the new checkout process looks like when you're logged into the Admin portal:

    1. The new button to "Add Credit Card".




    2. After clicking the button, this window will appear:




    3. You and your customers will enter the credit card data into the fields provided directly from Authorize.net. See below:



    4. After clicking Continue, the window will close, and the credit card entered will be displayed on the checkout screen as follows:



    5. At this point, you'll finalize the checkout process in the same way as always.  If you or your customer wants to change the card used before checking out, you have the option to "Change Credit Card" by clicking the blue button shown above.

    General public checkout process


    Here's what the new checkout process looks like for the general public:

    1. The new button to "Add Credit Card".

    3. Your customers will enter the credit card data into the fields provided directly from Authorize.net. See below:




    4. After clicking Continue, the window will close, and the credit card entered will be displayed on the checkout screen as follows:




    5. At this point, your customers will finalize the checkout process in the same way as before.  If your customer wants to change the card used before checking out, they have the option to "Change Credit Card" by clicking the blue button shown above.
