Authorize.net error: 'Ship To First Name is required' or 'Email is required'. - Tue - Jul 3, 2012 - 2:53pm

This error on the checkout page comes directly from Authorize.net. This is because your account with Authorize.net has marked the setting that requires the the "shipping first name" to be required field for all purchases. Since ThunderTix does not require a shipping address nor is there a way to make it mandatory, requiring it in Authorize.net would be problematic and all orders will be declined. We advise that you turn off that setting.
In addition, you might get a declined message that "Email is required". We already require an email address, so you should not have that checked as required in your account.
To change your Authorize.net settings:- Login to your Authorize.net control panel.
- Click on Settings
- Click on Payment Form
- Click on Form Fields
- uncheck required fields
Once it's changed, you can contact each of the people who had a declined transaction and see if you can process it over the phone for them. Their name, phone, and email is on all declined orders.
