What is the difference between ticket type capacities and event capacity? - Tue - May 20, 2025 - 5:35pm

Imagine you have a hard limit of 100 people allowed into your event. However, within that total event capacity, you offer more limited ticket options. For example, your performance may have VIP seating to be the closes to the stage. This is where ticket type capacities come into play.
For those performances where seating is limited by the number of seats available, this is where you can take advantage of higher priced tickets with limits on capacity. In essence, it provides the opportunity to up-sell patrons to a limited section of VIP seating. Of course, if you don't sell your total VIP allotment, some lucky patrons may find themselves there if your excursion sells out and you need the extra seats!
If you don't have ticket types that are limited to the number of tickets that are available, the capacity on each ticket type should be left empty.
