Over the last 24 hours, some ThunderTix clients with stand-alone fundraising campaigns experienced a surge of fraudulent $1 donation attempts. These were automated bots testing stolen credit card numbers to see which are valid—a common tactic because small charges are less likely to be flagged immediately.

To protect our clients, we’ve added captcha security to all fundraising and donation campaigns by default. This change will block automated attempts while ensuring legitimate donors can still complete their gifts smoothly.
