The boxes that you check in your ThunderTix account are for display purposes only. We show the checked credit card icons to the buyer so that they know what you accept prior to attempting a purchase with a non accepted card.

Check with your merchant account and gateway provider to learn which credit cards you accept.

AmEx rates are generally around 3.5% plus $8/month -- much higher than Visa and MasterCard. For that reason, you can to specifically request to accept AmEx from your merchant processor (Authorize.net, Stripe, Braintree, etc.)
