Venues can now reward their most loyal buyers—season pass, package, and flex pass holders—by waiving exchange‑related fees automatically.
Venue admin experience
For venue admins, this update adds a new control directly inside the package setup flow. When creating or editing a season pass, package, or flex pass, you’ll now see a “Allows patrons who purchase this package to perform exchanges free of fees” option in the Fees section. When enabled, ThunderTix will automatically waive any configured exchange and processing fees whenever a qualifying pass holder exchanges tickets from that package. This gives you precise control over how you reward loyalty—charge standard fees for single-ticket buyers while offering fee-free flexibility to your most valuable patrons.
Customer experience
For customers, the exchange process is now simpler and more self‑service. After purchasing a season pass, package, or redeeming a flex pass voucher, buyers can use the links in their confirmation email to exchange eligible tickets on their own, just as they would with a regular single-ticket purchase. When the venue has enabled fee-free exchanges on that package, the system automatically removes exchange and processing fees during checkout. The result is a smoother experience for pass holders and fewer support‑heavy exchange requests at the box office.
Together, these changes reduce support workload for box office staff, improve the experience for season and package buyers, and give venues more flexibility in how they incentivize loyalty and handle last‑minute schedule changes.
