How do I provide a group discount? - Mon - Nov 17, 2014 - 9:09am

  • You can create a Group Discount coupon that will automatically apply to orders meeting the minimum number of tickets. Follow the steps below to create the automated group discount. 

    1. Head to: Revenue Builders > Coupons
    2. Click Create Coupon
    3. Select "Group Discount"
    4. Name the Coupon 
    5. Select the events for which the coupon will be valid
    6. Enter coupon value, either dollar amount, percentage, or BOGO
    7. Enter the minimum number of tickets required to receive discount
    8. If you have selected to provide a discount percentage, choose how the coupon will be applied to the order. Either per ticket, or per order.
    9. Enter an expiration date if desired
    10. Click Create Coupon

    When a customer adds the minimum number of tickets required for a group discount, the coupon will automatically apply to all tickets in the cart.  The goal is to allow customers to be able to self-serve and purchase their group tickets online from home without being forced to contact the box office to qualify for the discount.

    For example, if you want all groups of 20 or more to qualify for a 10% discount, the above group discount coupon will automatically be applied to the entire order as long as the patron has 20 or more tickets on the checkout page.  They do not need to enter any coupon codes to qualify for the discount as long as the group discount is active.
