Can I transfer a coupon on an exchanged order?

Can I override a group discount with another coupon of a greater discount?

Sometimes you will want to override an existing group discount to utilize a coupon that provides a greater overall discount. 

Often a group discount will be set to automatically kick in at a certain number of tickets purchased (for example, when a customer purchases 10 or more tickets)

Can I create a Buy one Get one Half off coupon

Is there a way to set an expiration date on a coupon?

Once a coupon has expired, customers will no longer be able to redeem that coupon code on any event or package.

You can now promote coupon codes embedded in your event links. When you post a link to an event, you have the option to include a desired coupon code in the link to have it automatically applied at checkout.

Can I enter a discount/coupon code on the app for mobile sales?

Unfortunately, we do not yet have the ability to enter a coupon code when using the ThunderTix app. 

This has been submitted as a feature request, so please consider up-voting it if you'd also like to see this added:

If you are using coupons for the comp tickets, set the coupon to be valid for up to 2 uses at 100% off per ticket. You would need to set up a unique code for each person receiving the comps.

  1. Coupons are case sensitive. Try cutting and pasting the actual code from your Coupon tab into the order to see if it is accepted. If not, go to Step 2.

Some venues create 'specials' where they give the first 10 responders on Twitter a coupon for some dollar value off a future purchase. If you create a coupon that may be used 10 times, it is possible that a single buyer may redeem all ten uses for tickets in a one or more orders.

Why is the coupon code field missing on the checkout screen?

Once you have created a coupon code that applies to the given event, the input field for the coupon code will automatically appear on the checkout page.

If no coupons exist for a specific event, we hide the coupon code field. 

If the discount is for the same event, you will create a coupon code for a Buy One Get One Free. 

Follow the steps below to create this coupon:



  1. Head to: Revenue Builders > Coupons

  2. Click Create Coupon

  3. Click Create Code

  4. Type in the code that you wish your customers to use

How do I provide a group discount?

You can create a Group Discount coupon that will automatically apply to orders meeting the minimum number of tickets. Follow the steps below to create the automated group discount.
