How to add a Square Terminal to ThunderTix - Thu - Aug 11, 2022 - 5:47pm

    The Square terminal allows you to quickly capture credit card data and pass it to Square for processing orders in ThunderTix. To use a Square terminal, first sign up for Square following the directions in our tutorial, How do I integrate the Square payment gateway with ThunderTix?

    The terminal must be purchased directly from Square. Once you've received your terminal and successfully tested a credit card transaction in ThunderTix, you're ready for the next step -- setting up your terminal.

    1. Login to ThunderTix and head to your Gateway page
    2. Click "Add a Square Terminal"



    3. Copy the device code from ThunderTix that appears in the popup window into the terminal and then click on “I have received the confirmation”.

    Using your Square Terminal with ThunderTix

    Once you've completed the above steps and the Terminal has been connected to your ThunderTix account. 

    When you're processing in-person orders, you'll still need to start the order in ThunderTix. 

    • Head to your Event Manager > Manage > Sell.  
    • Select your perferred seats/tickets 
    • When you get to the checkout page, choose the "tab" on the checkout page for your Square Terminal. 
    • Insert or tap the credit card to your Terminal.
