How can I sell tickets as a pre-sale to a select group of customers? - Fri - Nov 14, 2014 - 10:01am

  • There are 2 separate options to sell tickets for an event to a limited audience:

    1. A password-protected pre-sale
    2. Require a coupon code at checkout

    Password-protected pre-sale (1 shared password)

The password-protected pre-sale feature allows you to offer early access to ticket sales for a targeted audience using a single shared password, before the event becomes available to the general public. By setting a future activation date and a pre-sale period, you can control visibility and access, making it ideal for early-bird promotions or member exclusives. Please see this discussion on how to configure a password protected presale:

Require coupon code(s) at checkout (A unique password per customer)

Requiring a coupon code at checkout is useful for limiting event access to a targeted audience or for providing early access to Flex Pass holders. You can create unique or shared codes to restrict purchases, and optionally set the event to semi-private for added exclusivity. This method ensures only those with a valid code can buy tickets, and for Flex Pass users, the required code is automatically included in their voucher link for easy redemption.  Please see this discussion on how to require a coupon code at checkout
